Each year, the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (ISAC) at UChicago, formerly the Oriental Institute, offers assorted courses on ancient languages, history, and anthropology that I can recommend. During graduate school, I took language courses with Foy Scalf, Brian Muhs, Tasha Vorderstrasse, and Susanne Paulus.
I’m especially interested in ancient Egypt.
